The Quran stresses ties of kinship, obedience to parents and mercy to children, and speaks of families reunited in Paradise (13:23).

What it means

“Fear God, in whose name you ask one another, and the wombs (kinship ties)” (4:1). The Quran says that the righteous will enter gardens of Eden “with whoever was righteous among their parents, spouses and offspring” (13:23, 40:8). The Prophet said that the one who cuts the ties of kinship will not enter Paradise (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim).
