Topic

The Quran says deeds are weighed (21:47) and that faith without good works is incomplete; the Prophet said the best are those done regularly even if small.

What it means

“We will set up the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection, and no soul will be wronged in the least” (21:47). The Prophet said “the most beloved deeds to God are the most regular, even if few” (Sahih al-Bukhari). He told Aisha of a woman who prayed all night, and said: “do what you can bear; God does not tire until you tire” (Sahih al-Bukhari).

Term and Arabic as listed in Ismail al Faruqi, Toward Islamic English (International Institute of Islamic Thought, 1995), p. 41, listed as ʿAMAL. The definition is restated here.
