Creed: the beliefs a Muslim holds about God, the prophets, the scriptures and the Last Day.

What it means

The six articles of faith in the hadith of Gabriel (Sahih Muslim) are belief in God, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and the divine decree. Schools of theology explain these in different ways: the Ashʿari and Maturidi schools by reasoned argument, and the Athari school by keeping to the wording of scripture.
