The Quran names two arks: Noah’s ship and the Ark of the Covenant (tābūt).

What it means

Noah’s ark carried a pair of every kind and those who believed, and it came to rest on al-Judi (11:37–44). The Quran calls it a sign for all peoples (29:15). The Ark of the Covenant, al-tābūt, was a sign of the kingship of Saul, carrying “tranquillity (sakīna) from your Lord and a remnant of what the house of Moses and Aaron left” (2:248).
