Person

A holy man of Punjabi folklore, whose stories belong to local tradition and not to Islamic teaching.

What it means

Stories are told in Punjab of a seer who lived at the village of Bhoma and performed miracles for people in distress. Muslim scholars treat tales of local saints as folk tradition: they are not part of the creed, and the Quran gives its own signs to prophets alone.
