The Prophet’s youngest daughter, wife of Ali and mother of Hasan and Husayn.
What it means
Fatima (d. 632) was the only one of the Prophet’s children to survive him, dying about six months after him. The Prophet said that she is “part of me” (Sahih al-Bukhari) and “the leader of the women of Paradise” (al-Tirmidhi).
