Amāna
A trust: what has been entrusted to a person, whether property, a secret or a duty.
What it means
“God commands you to render trusts to those to whom they are due” (4:58). The Quran also says that God offered the trust to the heavens, the earth and the mountains, and they refused to bear it, and the human being took it up (33:72). The Prophet said that “there is no faith in one who has no trustworthiness” (Ahmad).
