Group
A body formed under the Muslim World League to promote the idea that the Quran foretells modern science.
What it means
Founded in Saudi Arabia in the mid-1980s, it has held conferences and produced books and videos on “scientific miracles” in the Quran and hadith. Its supporters point to what they see as correspondences with embryology and astronomy.
What the sources say
Muslim scholars are divided. Some welcome it as a sign of the Quran’s truth, and others say the Quran is a book of guidance and should not be tied to the changing claims of science. This site follows the latter caution.
