What it means
Shelomo Dov Goitein studied the documents of the Cairo Geniza and described the daily life of Jewish merchants, scholars and families in the Muslim Mediterranean between the tenth and thirteenth centuries. His study of the relations of Jews and Muslims, and his “Jews and Arabs”, are standard works.
