Person
A name that comes up in polemics between Muslims and Christians; Islam judges deeds and not labels.
What it means
Arguments about whether Hitler was a Christian, or about his relations with the Church, are a Christian-Muslim polemical topic, and not a matter of Islamic teaching. His regime murdered six million Jews and millions of others, in an act which Muslim scholars condemn by the standard of the Quran: “whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed all of mankind” (5:32).
