Muslim thinkers translated and developed Greek philosophy and science, and Islamic thought has a long tradition of reasoned enquiry.

What it means

In ninth-century Baghdad the House of Wisdom supported translation of Greek works into Arabic. Philosophers such as al-Kindi, al-Farabi and Ibn Sina (Avicenna) wrote on logic, metaphysics and medicine, and Ibn Rushd (Averroes) commented on Aristotle, which fed the European universities. Others, such as al-Ghazali, criticised some philosophical claims.
