Humans chosen by God to deliver His guidance; the Quran names twenty-five and says there were many more.
What it means
“We sent a messenger to every community: worship God and avoid false gods” (16:36). The Quran names Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and others, and says Muhammad is “the seal of the prophets” (33:40). Muslims believe in all of them without distinction (2:285).
