In Islam a true dream can be a good tiding, and the Quran tells the dreams of Joseph and the king of Egypt.

What it means

Joseph tells his father of eleven stars, the sun and the moon bowing to him (12:4). He interprets the king’s dream of seven fat cows and seven lean ones (12:43–49). The Prophet said that a good dream is one forty-sixth part of prophecy (Sahih al-Bukhari). He distinguished the good dream, which comes from God, from the bad dream, which comes from Satan.
