God forgives all sins for those who repent; the Quran also urges forgiveness between people.
What it means
“Say: O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of God; God forgives all sins; He is the Forgiving, the Merciful” (39:53). Only associating partners with Him is not forgiven unless repented of (4:48). The Quran says: “let them pardon and overlook; do you not love that God should forgive you?” (24:22), a verse about Abu Bakr, who had cut off support to a relative who spread slander about his daughter Aisha, and then resumed it.
