The Quran allows hunting with trained animals (5:4) but forbids it to pilgrims in the state of ihram (5:94–96).
What it means
“They ask you what is lawful for them. Say: the good things, and what you have taught your trained hunting animals, training them as God taught you; eat of what they catch for you, and mention God’s name over it” (5:4). “Do not kill game while you are in ihram” (5:95).
