The Quran uses fasād for corruption of the earth and of society, and warns that wrongdoing brings its own harm (30:41).
What it means
“Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what people’s hands have earned, so that He may let them taste some of what they did, that they may return” (30:41). The Quran says that whoever kills a person “not for murder or for corruption in the land” is as one who kills all mankind (5:32). It condemns the powerful who spread corruption (28:4).
